In Facebook calculated how much Russia has spent on advertising on Brexit

All ads are designed not only to British but to the American audience
Russian investigators have placed three ads on Facebook ahead of a British referendum on EU membership, spent just 97 cents to raise the issue of migration. This was stated in the company’s Facebook, reports European Pravda , citing Reuters.
Earlier, the British parliamentary Committee asked Facebook for information on activities related to RF paid accounts.
Facebook has already sent its findings to the Commission, which is examining how propaganda in social networks impact on politics in Britain, including activities financed from abroad.
The company stated that it investigated the existence of sections or pages associated with the Pro-Kremlin organization Internet Research Agency (IRA), which was paid advertising in the period of the referendum.
As you know, IRA is a Russian organisation, in which, according to the researchers, hundreds of people working to advance the Pro-Kremlin social media content.
“We determined that these accounts related to IRA, spent a small amount of money (0.97 US dollar) in ads for British audiences during that time,” the company said.
It is reported that this amount was spent on three ads, each of which also was aimed at the American audience, and dealt with questions of migration rather than a referendum on leaving the EU.
Recall that in Facebook earlier reported that shadow a Russian company, the so-called “Troll farms”, known for his Pro-Kremlin propaganda, bought and distributed political advertising during the presidential campaign in the United States.
