In the framework of the pilot project for the carriage of passengers in the capital of Estonia Tallinn on 29 July began to run unmanned buses. About it reports ERR.

Free buses will carry passengers six days a week on the route “Pot culture Boulevard Mary.”

At the same time on the two route Shuttle bus. One accommodates eight passengers. Entrance is provided for passengers in wheelchairs. Each bus runs a guide who acquaints passengers with the new technology.

Unmanned buses appeared in the framework of its presidency in the EU Council. One of the focuses of the presidency is the development of technologies and their impact on society.

The pilot project will continue until the end of August, it costs about 100 thousand euros.
