In Brussels began a two-day EU summit

In Brussels today, December 14, starts a two-day summit of EU leaders.This was reported on the website of the European Council.

The summit will discuss a Brexit, migration, international relations and defense.

“This week we can demonstrate that despite the differences, maintain the unity. The best example of this will be the start of new cooperation in the sphere of protection of Europe (PESCO),” said European Council President Donald Tusk in a letter of invitation to EU leaders.

Except for the approval PESCO, will review progress in EU-NATO.

EU leaders also plan to adopt the draft main principles to move to the second phase of negotiations on Brexit.

13 December 2017 it was reported that at the EU summit on 14-15 December in Brussels, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and President of France Emmanuel macron will report on the implementation of the Minsk agreements by the parties to the conflict in the Donbass for a decision on the extension of sanctions against Russia.
