KIEV. May 25. UNN. In Olitsky Department of the Volyn regional psychiatric hospital has recorded 67 cases COVID-19, namely from 46 patients and 21 health professional. Two people have died. This was during the briefing said the Deputy head of the Volyn regional state administration Tatyana Shcherbak, the correspondent of UNN.
“Inherited from the beginning of the outbreak was 67 cases, including two fatal. Disease found 21 medical workers and 46 patients of the institution. Affected one of the two buildings of the hospital, which houses three compartments. One person treated in the regional infectious diseases hospital, a representative of the medical staff, and the rest are outpatient treatment,” — said Shcherbak.
Thus, the total sample was 164: 142 — contact in the hospital, 57 — health care workers, 85 patients and 22 family members.
Deputy Chairman of regional state administration and called the causes of the outbreak: due to the nature of the institution “if someone got sick in the Department, you will overcome everything.” It is also connected with the shortage of staff — one nurse working in several departments, also contributes to the spread of the virus.
According to Shcherbak, paramedics hospitals provided with personal protective equipment, and that transportation to work was for all.
