Sad news from Hollywood – a favorite of many viewers, the star of the show “Mythbusters” Grant of Imahara died at the age of 49 years.

According to the publication The Hollywood Reporter, Imahara died suddenly July 13 from a brain aneurysm. The fact was confirmed by his co-host on the program of Kari Byron, Tory belleci and Adam savage.

Grant received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of southern California. Immediately after graduation he got a job in the company George Lucas Lucasfilm. Some time later he moved to Industrial Lighting & Magic (ILM), where he worked on visual effects to several numbering series in the Star wars Saga, two parts of the Matrix (Reloaded and Revolution), and the movie Terminator 3: rise of the machines, van Helsing and the Lost world: Jurassic Park.

Grant joined the show Mythbusters during the third season, along with Kari Byron and Tory belleci. He remained part of the main structure before the end of the 2014 season. Starting next season, the Mythbusters returned to the original composition solo-leading Jamie Heinemann and Adam Savage. Imahara, Byron and belleci moved to a new project of his own Netflix show, which was called “Project White Rabbit”. The premiere show took place in 2016, but the project was cancelled by the creators after a single season.
