High-speed railway from Kiev to Odessa will cost 800 million euros

The cost of building high-speed Railways with Evrokoliya between Kiev and Odessa will be about 500-800 million euros. This was announced by the Minister of infrastructure Vladimir Omelian, reports UKRINFORM.

Base price – UAH 30 million for one kilometer of road with electrification. The trains will cost another an additional 20-30 million euros.

The ticket for this speed the train can reach 500-700 UAH.

“We are working to ensure that this was also a cargo message. We have agreed with the EBRD on the preparation of the pre-stability study and from this we will go to investors”, – said Omeljan.

Earlier, the Minister statedthat high-speed rail journey may appear in the future 5-10 years. The first such area should be Kiev-Odessa and Kyiv-Warsaw.
