Grinevich Odessa experience of introduction of electronic textbooks can be distributed across the country

The Minister of education and science, Liliya Hrynevych said that the Odessa experience of introduction of electronic textbooks can be distributed throughout the country.

About this Grinevich said during a working visit to Odessa and Odessa oblast, reports UNIAN.

In Odessa, 2017, a project “Interactive e-textbook”. The project was developed and posted on a special portal 42 of the textbook recommended by the Ministry of education and science for students in 7th grade.

With the Odessa experience in the implementation of the project got acquainted Grinevich, which in the framework of the working trip visited the gymnasium №2. She praised the level of implementation of the project and stated that this experience can and should be distributed throughout the country.

“In my opinion, this is an excellent regional practice. The next stage we see the development of multimedia applications for students. No doubt leadership will be in Odessa,” – said the Minister.

She noted that the essence of this tutorial is not confined to transferring into electronic format the paper version of the textbooks.

“Its essence lies in multimedia applications, the exercises that will be fun to perform. We want to make sure the textbooks have changed not only in format and in content,” – said Grinevich.

But while completely abandon paper textbooks can’t, she said, because not all schools, especially in rural areas, have high speed Internet, and tablets are not all children.

However, it was noted that this practice should be implement as distance learning.

“Now we just Odessa and the Odessa oblast will work on the realization of blended learning, which will help the children even in a small village to learn from the best teachers, and to implement electronic textbooks and multimedia applications,” promised ed.
