“Following the plea outcomes in Venezuela presidential elections, Georgia recognizes Juan, Guido interim President. Georgia welcomes the statements of our partners and supports the Venezuelan people in the struggle for democracy and freedom,” Zalkaliani wrote in his Twitter.
Earlier, the countries — participants of the “Group of Lima” recognized head of the National Assembly of Venezuela Juan, Guido interim President of the country.
Peru, Brazil and Colombia also recognized Guido interim President of Venezuela.
Meanwhile, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed support for Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
