Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said that the project Nord stream – 2 will be implemented despite the U.S.’s intentions to disrupt the construction. About it reports Kommersant.
Miller’s statement came after the US Ambassador to the EU, Gordon Sandland said that the President of Donald trump has plenty of tools to stop the project, which makes us even more dependent Europe is on Russian gas.

The construction of the gas pipeline Nord stream-2 through the Baltic sea has already begun. It is expected to be completed by the end of 2019.

The company-operator Nord Stream AG 2, reported that more than 200 kilometers of the offshore section of the pipeline has already been built.
It is planned that by the end of 2019 pipeline corridor Nord stream-2 will annually transport about 55 billion cubic meters of Russian gas from Russia through the Baltic sea to Germany.
Opponents of the project, including Poland, the Baltic States, Ukraine, Moldova, the USA and Denmark, saying that Nord stream-2 will increase the EU’s dependence on Gazprom, which already supplies about a third of the volume of gas in the EU.
