From Kiev to Odessa can be reached by train in 2 hours, Omeljan
The ticket price will be 500-700 UAH
The Minister of infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelian announced that after the arrangement of high-speed rail from Kiev to Odessa can be reached by train in two hours. He said this during the “infrastructure day” in the European business Association, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
Omeljan noted that the price of a ticket to 500-700 UAH will be competitive. According to the Minister, the project of arrangement of high-speed rail Kyiv – Odessa is economically justified.
“200% sure that the passenger flow will be,” said Omeljan.
According to the Minister, the construction of one kilometer of road will cost 1-2 million euros, which allows to roughly estimate the construction of the entire road at 500-800 million euros.
Omeljan stressed that the new road is also advisable to arrange the transportation of goods, which, he claims, are in the interest of shippers and potential international port operators, with whom it is negotiating Ukraine.
