A former adviser to the electoral headquarters of the current President of the United States Donald trump on foreign policy Carter Paige at the meeting of the house Committee on intelligence confirmed that the meeting with the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, reports UNN with reference to BBC Ukraine.
Answering a question of a Democrat from California Adam Schiff, he acknowledged that the contact took place at the conference on the occasion of the next edition at the new economic school in SKOLKOVO in July 2016.
K. Paige confirmed this information on Friday evening. According to him, it was “nothing more than an exchange of greetings between people at a public event”.
As noted, at the meeting of the Committee of the house of representatives on Thursday was read aloud an e-mail to K. Paige, senior adviser D. trump, now Minister of justice Jeff Seshns, in which he reported on the impressions of their meetings in Moscow. Its content has not been disclosed.
In a previous interview K. Paige claimed that he had talked in Moscow with scholars and “several businessmen I know over ten years.”
Last year’s trip K. Paige in Moscow attracted attention as he addressed the conference with a speech that largely echoed the views on world politics Russian President Vladimir Putin. Shortly after the trip to Moscow K. Paige left the campaign headquarters of D. trump. In December 2016, as a private person, he again went to the Russian capital, he said, to “meet with the leaders of the business and intellectual world.”
Earlier, in Washington approved the first accusation on the case of Russian intervention.
