For the first time in the history of the exchange rate of bitcoin exceeded the price of gold

Bitcoin for the first time in its history became more expensive to trade an ounce of gold.

According to Coindesk, at 22:10 ut on 2 March, the bitcoin was worth $1265. At the same time, according to Bloomberg, referenced by the media, the price per Troy oz (31,2 g) — $1233.

2 January, the bitcoin exchange rate was $1020,55. Prior to that, the course of bitcoin rose above $1000 in November 2013.

Earlier historical maximum price of bitcoin was reached on 29 November 2013, when the rate rose to $1242.
