Favorite phrase trump was the “word of the year”

KIEV. 2 Nov. UNN. Publisher of a dictionary of the English language Collins, call 2017 the phrase “fake news” (fake news, ed.), which often dominates the headlines of American TV channels, and also on Twitter, U.S. President Donald trump, reports UNN with reference to BBC.

According to the publication, only in 2017 among the inhabitants of the world, the use of the phrase “fake news” has increased by 365%.

Even the word “Insta” (Inst ed.), associated with the social network Instagram, and “fidget spinner” (spinner – ed.) failed to outstrip in popularity the favorite phrase of the President of the United States.

A rating of popular phrases publisher holds for the fifth year in a row the winners of the previous years were the words “Brexit” (pexit – ed.) And “Geek” (eccentric, crazy – ed.).

It should be noted that according to the estimates of the other American editions, in 7 months from the beginning of 2017 Donald trump wrote “fake news” on his Twitter page 73 times.
