Ex-Deputy head of the Kakhovka Prosecutor’s office will judge for extortion of 400 thousand UAH of a bribe

The Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine submitted to the court indictment against a Deputy head of the local Prosecutor’s office Kakhovka, Kherson region, who is accused of extortion of 400 thousand UAH of a bribe. About this on his page in Facebook wrote to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko, reports UNN.
“General inspection completed investigation in criminal proceedings on suspicion of the now former Deputy head of the local Kakhovka of the Kherson region Prosecutor’s office and submitted to the court indictment,” wrote Lutsenko.
He recalled that the investigation established that the Prosecutor demanded from one of businessmen and his father undue benefit in the amount of 400 thousand UAH for failure of the entrepreneur to criminal liability in criminal proceedings for the unauthorized occupation of land, the closure of this production and providing the opportunity to collect the grown crops on the land.
According to the Prosecutor General, the former official declared suspicion in Commission of crime under part 4 St. 368 criminal code of Ukraine which provides imprisonment for the term up to twelve years with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term up to three years with confiscation of property.
