“Neftegazsystema” (included in portfolio assets “DTEK oil & gas”) 6 March 2019 won the auction of the State service of Geology and mineral resources of Ukraine for the acquisition of special permits for subsoil use Svitacova-Logismoi square in Kharkiv region. This is Ukraine’s first auction, which was conducted online in the Prozorro.Sale. The company acquired a special permit for 85 million UAH, which is 384% more than the starting cost of the license and is an absolute record for Ukraine.

Svitacova-Logiska area is located in the territory of Chuguev, Zmiev, Kharkiv districts of Kharkiv region. It covers an area of 197,5 sq. km. Type of minerals: oil, natural gas, condensate. Type of subsoil: geological study of oil and gas subsurface with the subsequent oil and gas extraction (industrial development of fields). The period for which the permission is being granted: 20 years.
“The launch of the public online auction is the most important result of many years of reforms in the gas industry. Thanks to the absolutely transparent procedure and in conditions of fair competition, today we were able to purchase a special permit for the area we studied in collaboration with industry research institutions the last 3-4 years. This step is a logical continuation of our business development in the Kharkiv region. In the coming years we will invest over UAH 300 million in exploration, prospecting drilling and construction of ground infrastructure. In case of opening deposits, additional investments in development and exploration of its reserves amount to a total of about 1 billion UAH, which will allow us to increase its contribution to energy independence of Ukraine”, — said Igor schurov, General Director of “DTEK oil & gas”.
We will remind, earlier it was reported that the company “DTEK Naftogaz” intends to start production of gas from a depth of 7 kilometers.
