Russian physicist, Nobel laureate Zhores Alferov has died on 89-m to year of life in Petersburg. This information was confirmed by his wife Tamara Darskaya.

“Zhores Ivanovich died today,” she said.
This information confirmed to TASS the head of the CPRF Gennady Zyuganov. He also said details of the incident.
“Unfortunately, Zhores Ivanovich went in the night from life. He was a heavy attack, crisis,” — said the Deputy.
Zhores Alferov is the Nobel prize in physics in 2000. He was awarded for developing semiconductor heterostructures and the creation of fast opto – and microelectronic components.
Earlier in the United States died, American scientist-climatologist Wallace Broker, who is considered the originator of the term “global warming”.
