Detainees at the anti-corruption rally in Moscow have been subjected to torture, human rights defenders

Representatives of the public monitoring Commission of Moscow examined the conditions of detention during a rally of anti-corruption activists and identified numerous violations of human rights. It is reported by organization Gulagu.net (Project against corruption and torture in Russia, which unites more than 14 thousand human rights activists and volunteers)
During the inspection it was found that the detainees at the rally against corruption on March 26 put in the notoriously overcrowded, did not provide food and water.
“In fact, detainees are subject to torture by sleep deprivation, diet, drinking water (people have to sleep in turns for 1.5-2 hours, some have to sleep on the floor). At the time of inspection (22:15 Moscow time-ed.) dinner was not granted to any of the detainees (the fact of torture by deprivation of food, tortured by hunger)”, – reads the statement of the organization.

It is also reported that the cameras did not work properly ventilation, which raises the risk of disease transmission by airborne droplets. The detainees expressed the complaint is in fact not the execution of the Protocol of detention for more than 6 hours from the moment of detention, forgery of documents and grounds for detention, as well as uderzenie in the cold.
The organization needs to immediately conduct a Prosecutor’s check of the conditions of detention of activists and the gross violation of the legitimate rights of detainees.
