KIEV. April 6. UNN. In the Parliament propose to extend restrictions on advertising of beer, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products, reports UNN with reference to the bill, which was registered on March 30 (No. 8215) Deputy Yuri Timoshenko.

The document envisages, in particular, the prohibition on the use in advertising of alcohol and tobacco the historic characters, events, military groups and ethnicity.

In the explanatory note to the document States that the existing restrictions on the advertising of alcohol and tobacco products do not perform fully its function. For example, a ban on the use of popular persons and state symbols, which exists now, manufacturers can easily bypass it, removing the is Cossacks and the Hetman.

“The adoption of the bill will set more stringent requirements on the advertising of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products and, consequently, to reduce the level of consumption of the population of Ukraine”, – stated in the explanatory note to the bill.
