At the Odessa film festival presented awards
The best movies are recognized as the “Summer 1993” Carla Simon, and “Dixie Land” by Roman Bondarchuk
At the Odessa Opera house is the closing ceremony of the 8th Odessa international film festival.
Grand Prix of the OIFF, which is traditionally awarded by the results of the audience voting, was awarded to the film “the King of the Belgians” Peters of Brosens and Jessica Woodwor, reports LB.ua.
The best film in the International program became a Director Carla Simone “Summer 1993”. The prize for best Director was awarded to “My happy family” Nana, Ekvtimishvili for best actor – Ia, Chugoshvili and CISA, Kumsishvili (“My happy family”). Special jury prize was awarded to the film “free and easy” Kyung Jun.
Best Ukrainian feature film in the national competition was “Dixie Land” by Roman Bondarchuk.
The award for best actor in the national competition got Nina Antonova, the heroine of the movie “Main role”.
Best national short film was the “Release’97,” Paul Ostrikova.
Special diplomas from the national jury received “Pryputni” Arcadia Nepytalyuk and korotkometrazhka picture Catherine Ermine “lilac”.
Diploma FIPRESCI (International Federation of film critics) for best short film in the national competition also received the “siren” Catherine Ermine. The diploma jury for best feature film at the picture Valentin Vasyanovych “black Level”.
Winner of the European documentary films was the Ukrainian Director Sergei Bukovsky with the movie “Main role”.
In addition, an honorary “Golden Duke” for contribution to cinema was received by Agnieszka Holland, whose “the mark of the beast” was shown at the FESTIVAL in one of the out-of-competition programs.
