Anti-corruption RAID in Odessa region, detained 4 officials

In Odessa region employees of subdivisions of the Prosecutor General’s office conducted the operation, which detained four officials of the ministries of the region, the press service of the GPU.

Arrested the acting chief of the investigation Department seaside police Department GU of the national police in the Odessa region, Deputy Samokovsko Council, the Deputy of the village Council Sarovskogo Belgorod-Dniester district and chief of the division of environmental management of the Odessa regional Council. According to prosecutors, they demanded a bribe from the citizen of Ukraine in the amount of 72 thousand dollars. The detention was at the time of receiving the money.

Reportedly, the officials extorted money, threatening with criminal prosecution and forced to sell the land.

Searches are carried out. The GPU reported that in the near future will open criminal proceedings on the fact of extortion.
