A group of criminals for bribes transported illegal immigrants in the EU
KIEV. March 26. UNN. In the Kiev region militiamen neutralized a criminal group, which for the money engaged in trafficking of illegal migrants through the border of Ukraine to the European Union for a bribe. It is reported by UNN citing the press service of the Prosecutor of Kyiv region.
According to investigators, the group consisted of the organizer – a native of the Islamic Republic and now a citizen of Ukraine and two citizens of Dagestan and Ukraine. Last looked for potential illegal migrants, which are paid from 8 to 16 thousands of dollars – illegally transported across the state border of Ukraine to the European Union.
In particular, over 25 thousand dollars offered to produce passports of citizens of Ukraine for travel abroad by two persons of the Republic of Maldives and the Republic of Cameroon. While receipt of funds in the amount of $ 8,000 of members of the group were detained.
During the searches at the residence addresses of the defendants and office premises owned by the group organizer, law enforcement officers found and seized “a lot of passports of the citizen of Ukraine and citizen of Ukraine for travel abroad, issued on different people, the forms of certificates of registration of a person as a citizen of Ukraine, photographs of different persons , cash, phones of the defendants by which the latter communicate among themselves, etc.”.
Now they reported a suspicion under part 3 of article 332, part 2 of article 15 part 3 St. 332 criminal code of Ukraine – illegal trafficking of persons across the state border of Ukraine. The sanction of article prescribes punishment is deprivation of liberty for a period of 7 to 9 years.
The currently ongoing pre-trial investigation and the issue of electing a suspect measure of restraint in form of detention.
As reported UNN, during a week in Ukraine were brought to justice more than 360 illegal immigrants.
