The Ministry of Sports of Russia will analyze and consider the issues of changing the limit on foreign players and the salary cap in various sports.

According to the head of the department, Oleg Matytsin, whose words are transmitted by TASS, the Ministry of Sports with sports federations and professional leagues should make proposals to establish a salary ceiling for athletes.
“The agency will also develop proposals to optimize the number of foreign players in Russian teams and requirements for them. The management system, the relations between the state and public organizations require a deep analysis, ” the minister added.
He noted that it is necessary to develop common approaches and principles for the development of game sports, while there should be a clear understanding of the role and responsibility of the state and public organizations.
