Scientists of the Technion Institute of Technology were able to explore the light with ultrafast transmission electron microscope.

Thanks to the amazing device, they were able to consider the processes that previously had to model, and even the use of microscopy techniques to study the movements of photons and electrons.

In previous studies, the microscope was used to study the behavior of atoms or quantum dots, but then the ability of scientists was limited. In the new experiment, the scientists applied a photonic cavity, in fact nanoscopic crystals, where it was possible to see a free current and of interacting electrons and photons.

Israeli researchers believe that their achievement will help to find the solution of an important problem in the field of quantum computing. It is that qubits, which are used to store data in quantum computers that are prone to generate errors. New technology to capture light will make them much more stable.
