Such data was published in a comprehensive report on basic social and economic indicators of Kiev for 2018.

According to the results of surveys of residents of the capital, the efforts of the city administration caused significant changes in areas such as improved landscaping, the arrangement of places for recreation and sports, provision of educational infrastructure and its modernization, improvement of public transport.

Kiev is the fourth year in a row topped the rating of Ukrainian regions by indicators of socio-economic development as social and economic cohesion, investment, innovation, foreign economic cooperation, development of SMEs, availability of services in the health sector.

However, in 2018 the resident population of Kiev has increased by 16.3 thousand people to 2909,5 thousand. This is 6.9% of the population of Ukraine. In the past year in Kiev was by 2.4 thousand more than died and arrived in the city by 13.9 thousand more than were out of town. At the beginning of 2018 53.7 per cent of the total number of Kiev were female and 46.3% male. Per 1,000 women, on average, 861 male.

Economically active population aged 15 to 70 years is 1 million 459 thousand people. In the newly created jobs in the capital in 2018 accepted 112,3 thousand people, which is the best indicator among the regions. This is 53.9% more than in 2017. At the end of 2018, the registered capital of 8.6 thousand unemployed.

In the past year was the continued tendency of growth of quantity of subjects of small and average business. Also increased the number of new jobs and revenues to the budgets of all levels. So, for 10 thousand people of Kiev have 1667 physical persons-entrepreneurs and 310 small and medium enterprises. The number of the latter during the year has increased to almost 88 thousand and 3655, respectively.

According 2018, based on one person capital investments Kyiv ranks first among the regions of Ukraine. He has exceeded the national 5 times and is 69,0 thousand UAH. One Kiev accounts 5 828,4 US $ of foreign direct investment.

More than four million tourists in 2018, visited the capital, 41% of whom are foreigners. This year in Kyiv, were guests of the 192 countries of the world. Most users are from UK, USA, France, Germany, Israel, Turkey, Belarus, Poland and Azerbaijan.

According to the international online service Startup Blink, the capital of Ukraine occupies the 34th place among 1028 global start-up cities, leaving behind Melbourne, Helsinki, Munich and Washington. As at the end of 2018, the number of startups in the capital amounted to 321 (in Ukraine – 386). The most popular sectors of activity for startups in Kiev is the creation of mobile applications, software as a service (SaaS) and e-Commerce.

Annual report on the results of socio-economic progress and financial performance of the city prepared by the Department of economy and investments of Kyiv city state administration jointly with the municipal research establishment “Scientific research Institute of socio-economic development of Kyiv city” on the basis of data of the State statistics service of Ukraine, Main Department of statistics in Kyiv, the accounting information of the structural subdivisions of the Executive body of Kyiv city Council (KCSA), as well as data from international rating agencies and open sources of information.

Therefore, the decision was made to purchase only services for printing, translation, design, layout and preparation of consolidated financial statements. The total cost of works – 850 thousand UAH.
