His Eminence Metropolitan Epiphanios (that sounds so right “position” head of the Church) was born in the Odessa region and received an excellent education. The news of his election became the top one in the national media.
Metropolitan Epiphanius (in the world Sergey p. Dumenko) was born on 2 February 1979 in Odessa region. Soon the family moved to Chernihiv, where he spent his childhood the future of the Primate, according to “Диалог.UA”.
In 1996, he entered the Kiev spiritual Seminary of the UOC-KP, from which he graduated in 1999 with a first class. In 1999 entered the Kiev theological Academy, from which he graduated in 2003 with a degree in theology.
Since 2013, Bishop Epiphanius was the second person after Patriarch Filaret of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate at the age of 34 years, the decision of the local Church Council.
